The Uganda Police Force administration has advised the Jesa company management to withdraw their new commercial with immediate effect or face legal action.
The advert in regard involves a truck driver with children on board who was stopped by a traffic officer for inspection.
However, the driver instead severed the officer a pack of Jesa Jus and was allowed to proceed without proper inspection.
According to police, in a weekly news presser held at its headquarters in Naguru, the spokesperson of the force CP Fred Enanga said the advert tarnishes the image of the force.
It depicts that its enforcement officers can easily be compromised while on duty. This encourages more corruption which has always been one of the major problems facing the force.

It also sends a bad message to the general public and causes mistrust in the force. The company didn’t get permission to use the image from the force which is also against the law, he added.
However, Enanga further advised the public and anyone willing to use the image of the police to first seek permission and be cautious with the message they want to send to the public.
