One of the leaders at the Church, Alex Ndugga disclosed that Police and the army came in at around 8:30 PM to carry out investigations at the Church to protect people from being harmed. The sniffer’s dogs were brought through and did their role till security confirmed that the Church was okay to carry on with its usual Sunday services.

“We had a security threat but we thank God that security swiftly responded and brought the situation back to order. As I speak, the security has completed the investigations, and our church service will go as planned. The situation is back to normal. Yesterday, at around 8:30 PM security detail came through our Church premises and halted all the Church activities to enable them to do their work concerning issues with alleged bomb threats. We thank God that this morning, they brought sniffer dogs to bring the situation back to normal”, Alex Ndugga

Major Charles Kabona, spokesperson for the UPDF First Infantry Division, stated that they received the information yesterday (Saturday) night and their team worked throughout the night, but no explosives were found.

They have since alerted the public to be vigilant about their surroundings and keen on everything that happens within their areas to avoid people with ill intentions of harming one another.

Pastor Bugembe has yet to come public to address the bomb scare incident but we are certain that before the week ends, he will have made a statement about the threat.
