Mawokota member of parliament and National Unity Platform member Hon.Hillary Kiyaga a.k.a Dr. Hilderman has come out to clarify the information making rounds on social media after an old video clip surfaced of him edited praising former Leader of opposition, now parliament commissioner, Hon. Mathius Mpuuga.

In the video Dr. Hilderman was heard making good remarks about Hon Mathius Mpuuga while he talked to his supporters convened in a small meeting.

“Hon. Mpuuga is my fellow Muganda, my boss, my role model. ‘ I could not judge him for taking taxpayers’ money, that’s why I kept quiet,” Hon . Hillary Kiyaga said to his supporters.

However, after the short video clip gained momentum this evening, Hon. Hilary Kiyaga has come out to shade some light that some of the information from the video was edited out by unknown people trying to tarnish his name.

According to Dr. Hilderman , he had already signed on the censure motion paper of parliament as his voters had instructed him to do and his party, National Unity Platform.

Additionally, he can’t make the mistake of going against his party’s decision because they agreed as National Unity Platform members led by the Leader of the opposition Hon. Joel Ssenyonyi to sign on the censure motion.

It is on record that the former leader of the opposition, now parliament commissioner, Hon. Mathius Mpuuga is at loggerheads with his party National Unity Platform(NUP).

The two parted ways after it was discovered that Hon. Mathius Mpuuga was awarded ‘ a service award’ of Ugandan shillings 500 million without a clear reason for work done by the government.

An incident termed as misuse of office and corruption according to the principles followed by the National Unity Platform party led to his suspension as leader.
