Frail controversial National Unity Platform member of parliament Hon. Muhamad Ssegirinya is set to come back home after months at the Agha Khan hospital in Kenya where he has been receiving treatment battling an unknown illness.

It is alleged that the politician was poisoned by unknown people who wanted to take away his life.

Hon. Muhamad Ssegirinya has for a long time been very vocal, especially in fighting for the very poor people in the country including fundraising for the sick and starting numerous projects to elevate people from poverty.

He also opened up a health center in Kawempe after being elected into parliament from being a Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) councilor.

Ssegirinya’s rise to fame can be traced way back to when he was still a vibrant political radio caller whose contribution and knowledge attracted many of his supporters.

This encouraged him to venture into politics as a career.

However, the road has not been as rosy as expected. Hon. Ssegirinya has faced numerous challenges including being in and out of prison, and harassment from police, and other sister security organs.

This has put his life at stake and is always in and out of the hospital for medical examination.

” Mukama mulungi nkomawo ekka” Mukama y’emusumba wange! Even though I walk through the dark valley of death, because you are with me, I fear no harm. Your rod and your staff give me courage” Hon . Ssegirimya Muhamed posted on his social media handle.
