Monday 1st of July 2024 Police Spokesperson, Senior Commissioner of Police, SCP Fred Enanga bid farewell to the position that he had held for over five years following a fresh reshuffle that was carried out by IGP Abbas Byakagaba.
In his heartfelt statement, SCP Fred Enanga extended gratitude to the people he worked with from fellow Police Officers to the Fourth Estate.
Advertisement. Scroll to continue reading. He thanked them for their commitment to work and the good conduct that had been exhibited for the period he held the PRO position. Fred Enanga has since been moved to the position of Deputy Director in charge of Interpol.
He has been replaced by Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Rusoke Kituuma as the new force’s Spokesperson.
In Fred Enanga’s farewell speech, he urged the new Police Spokesperson to always be truthful and respectful of everyone during his term of service.

He served in the office for two terms dating back in 2014 -2016 and returned in 2019 -2024 taking over from Emilian Kayima who has since then embarked on other roles in the Force.

We’ve accomplished many concerns on crime, safety, and security. We have learned a lot from each other beginning the year 2007 as CID Liaison Officer, then in 214 -2016 as the Police Spokesperson, and again from 2019 – June 2024, I thank you all for the voice, heart, and trust you put into your engagements. As always keep it sincere, professional, and beyond approach, while working tirelessly to give accounts to the Public. I am indebted to you all”, Fred Enanga
