Former Lubaga Deputy Resident City Commissioner Anderson Burora was on Wednesday 3rd of July sent on remand at Luzira prison on charges related to spreading hate speech. He was arrested on Monday when security personnel stormed his house in the night.
He was whisked away to Kira Road Police Station where he spent the night and was later transferred to the Central Police Station (CPS) in Kampala where he spent Tuesday night.
Advertisement. Scroll to continue reading. On Wednesday, he was arraigned before the Buganda Road Chief Magistrate Ronald Kayiizi, who read him charges he committed that included spreading hate speech and malicious information accusations that go against the Computer Misuse Act.
During the court hearing, Burora denied both charges.

Advertisement. Scroll to continue reading. Chief Magistrate Kayiizi then sent him to Luzira prison until Tuesday 9th of July for his next court hearing as he will be applying for bail.

Burora started facing trouble when attacked the Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Annita Annet Among on allegations of being corrupt.
