Source management artist and RnB singer Hajara Namukwaya a.k.a Spice Diana’s journey to stardom has not been a walk in the park. The artist revealed that she was a caretaker in the early days of her music career.
Despite her tough background, Spice Diana has maneuvered every obstacle to achieve success as a musician, something she thanks the Lord for.
It is on record that the artist was raised by a single mother who catered for everything to ensure that they survived. Her mum, engaged in doing odd jobs for their survival including paying school fees.
However, the situation worsened and Hajara Namukwaya a.k.a Spice Diana had to step in and help out. Since she was commonly referred to as an urban girl and well-versed about Makindye, which is known as the home of music in Uganda, many people thought she had contacts with well-established musicians.
Luckily, she was contacted by a wealthy family to help their child as a caretaker and take him to dance classes at the Triplets Ghetto Kids Foundation.
” I came this side looking for Tripplets Ghetto Kids and i started staying with them. I was not a musician and I had not yet started singing even a single song. So when I got in touch with the management, I brought a son from a wealthy family who loved to learn how to dance. They offered me transport and some upkeep whenever I was to take him to dance in the Triplets Ghetto Kids group. This cemented my relationship with the management, Mr. Dauda. He loved my humble character and later offered me an opportunity to work with them. So I became the caretaker for the Triplets Ghetto Kids unknowingly. He used to pay me for the services I offered,” Spice Diana revealed.
While still working with Mr.Dauda at the Ghetto Kids Foundation, Spice Diana started getting exposed to musicians and that is how her love for music began.
