Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga, the Prime Minister of Buganda, has criticized individuals who spread false information about the Kingdom without facts, stating that they are paid to tarnish the image of the chiefdom.
He made the comments following recent statements about the whereabouts and health status of Kabaka Ronald Mwenda Mutebi II, which he said were unfounded and disrespectful to the privacy of the Kabaka.
He went on to note that the individuals making allegations are haters of the Kingdom.
“Waliwo abantu abatayagala bwakabaka, era be mulaba aboogera ebyasswakaba ku mutimbagano bebamu ku bo. Bawendule era basasulwa ensimbi okuvvoola ekitiIbwa ky’obwakabaka”.-Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga

Mayiga also noted that the Kabaka had been scheduled to return on July 21st, as planned by both the Kingdom and the doctors and that is why he made his return very early on Monday morning.
He, however, noted that had he needed to extend his stay in Namibia for medical treatment, it would have been possible without any hinderances.
“The Kabaka was set to return on the 21st, as planned by both us and the doctors. He had 90 days in Namibia, and if we needed to extend his stay, it wouldn’t have been a problem”.-Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga
