Faiza Salima a.k.a Faiza Fabz, a KFM presenter, and three others were arrested and remanded to Luzira Prison until July 30th, 2024 for their participation in the anti-graft #March2Parliament protest in Kampala.
She was arrested along with a photojournalist, a blogger, and a doctor and immediately drove to Jinja Road Police Station.
Advertisement. Scroll to continue reading. Faiza Fabz was later taken to Nakawa Court and slapped with charges of being “common nuisance, idle, and disorderly” along with her friends.
The protests went on all over the day in the city center, and several protestors who were believed to be over 40 were arrested.

Some of the protestors were arrested at the Central Police Station (CPS) and those who were detained faced the Buganda Road Chief Magistrate who also sent them to Luzira prison.
In summary, today has been a very busy day for security enforcers as they deployed heavily across the streets of Kampala ready to arrest anybody who would take part in the protest.
