Military officer brutally shot dead by unknown assailants

News reaching us reveals that a military officer who was crushing a Toyota Premio has been gruesomely gunned down by unknown assailants.

The incident is reportedly said to have happened in Buddo, Kyengera Town Council.

The reason behind the assassination of the military officer has not yet been established. It is believed that more than five bullets were fired in the raucous.

According to an eyewitness, a female food stall vendor has also succumbed to gunshot injuries after he was reportedly shot in the chest and on the thigh as she lost her life in the gunfire as a collatorelle damage.

Following the shooting, security operatives have been heavily deployed to keep the situation in check and calm down the residents.

The number of causalities who have been injured has confirmed but we shall keep you posted when fresh information concerning the saga is availed.

The last an assasination incident happened was when the Buganda Ndigga clan head Lwomwa was gunned down.

One of the assailants was trailed by other boda-boda men and he was caught thus pounced on him and beat him to death he tried to out his gun to shoot them as well but the gun got stuck in the boda-boda wheels thus making him unable to for him to escape.

Mr. Eria Lwasi Buzaabo was later installed as the new clan head of the Ndiga clan on Friday at Bulange Mengo by the Prime Minister of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga.
