“And really, Ugandan’s cannot rise up and protest against parliament and members of parliament keep quiet. All we want is to have a discussion on the floor of parliament so that Parliament is free from these allegations”, Sarah Opendi (NRM)

Here is what they had to comment about signing on the censor motion seeking to impeach Hon. Mpuuga and three other commissioners.

“Enough is Enough, government loses more than Ugx 1o trillions every year due to corruption. So I have appended my signature and I want to tell my people from Kole that I am one of the members of parliament who has already signed the censor motion” – Judith Aryek, Woman MP, Kole (NRM)

“Since my people are saying the matter needs to be discussed and the PLU to which I belong is saying we want the mater to be discussed, I felt it was the time for me to make the decision and sign on the censor motion so that the matter can come on the floor of the parliament”, Dr. Emmanuel Otala, MP Tororo South (NRM)

“President Museveni has been in leadership for now close to 40 years, Chemaswet has been only three years on the committee as deputy  and you remove me while Obua has been there for a very long period of time and you say Chemaswet is not going to be a leader in the committee instead of promoting me to be the chair leader, that is another type of corruption in leadership”, – Abdi Chemaswet, MP SOI County (NRM)

“In brief, we are doing very well and we think by a matter of time we could be done with having all our signatures and that would be very great to have the motion moved to the floor of the parliament. There is now light at the end of the tunnel. Clearly you could see that the motion is coming to the order paper soon other than later”- Dr. Patrick Isingoma, MP Hoima City East (IND)
