Dr. Hajat Kulthum Nabunya’s husband, Eng. Akram Gumisiriza has officially disclosed the main reason why he has decided to quit Uganda and base in the United States of America (USA).
While addressing reporters, he reasoned that he took the decision because of the political threats he had been receiving from different corners of the world ever since he opened up about his ambitions to contest for the presidency of the country.
“I took the decision to relocate to the USA because of the conducive environment I found this side and felt at home. Secondly I did so because I was getting threats that made me feel uncomfortable ever since I declared that I’m interested in running for presidency”, Eng. Akram Gumisiriza
The statements that Eng. Akram Gumisiriza claims to have caused him tension he made them in April as he celebrated a milestone with his lovely wife Dr. Kulthum Nabunya as he noted that he would love to see her become the first lady of Uganda.
He adds that he and Kulthum reached an agreement that he stays in the USA for his safety rather than being threatened all the time.
Dr. Kulthum and Eng. Akram Gumisiriza had moved to the USA for vocation purposes. The wife will be returning any time soon.
For now, Akram is on a job hunt as he traces where he can settle and get his hands busy on something that can bring him more money.
