Martin Ssempa, an outspoken city Pastor, has pleaded to security for protection following assassination threats he has been receiving in recent days.
He explains that his neighbors tipped him about how there was a group of three boda boda men hunting him past midnight.
The bubbly Ssempa stresses that one of them has a gun and seem to want to end his life something that has made him go into hiding.
He suspects that the individuals looking for him could be linked to the LGBTQ groups that sent him huge files as they look forward to annulling Uganda’s anti-sodomy law.
He says the files were sent to him wondering whether it is his defense against sodomy that has put life in danger.

The activist has since pleaded with the Uganda Police to provide him with protection to live a worry-free life.
He notes that he has since switched his phone since he is tired of receiving unknown calls from people seeming to trace him.
He has asked his well-wishers to keep him in prayer as he is living in fear and danger.
“Since Saturday night last week, My neighbors in Jungo Kasanje have been telling me that a group of three men on boda boda are cavansing my home neighborhood after midnight apparently looking for me. One has gun and they seem to be on an assassination mission. Roadblocks, Attempted break in to my farm, etc. I also got tired of calls of strangers who seem to be trying to track my location. So I have switched off my phones and gone into my bunker for a few days. I really dont know why they want to kill me or bomb me. Is it because of my defense of Ugandas anti sodomy law? Last week I got served with a large volume of files from the LGBTQ groups which want to annul Uganda anti sodomy law. I dont know if its connected. Please Keep me in your prayers and someone tell the @PoliceUg@cdfupdf who I can’t reach now”, Pastor Martin Ssempa wrote on his X.
