Thieves broke into the late Joseph Tamale Mirundi’s home in Kalagala, Kalisizo – Rakai district, stealing money, valuables, and some ritual items (Ebigali) among other things.
Late Tamale Mirundi’s home was raided in the wee hours of Friday night as mourners planned to transport his body to Kalisizo.
The family members have warned that whoever stole the items will have to return them by themselves in a few days without being forced.
Annet Namuddu, a daughter to the late Mirundi, believes the stolen items will be returned by themselves shortly saying no one steals from their family and goes scot-free.
One of the elders warned that if the thieves don’t return the ritual items they stole, they will go crazy.
He mentioned that documents and mattreses among other items were stolen by the thugs.
Some of the family were also seen trying to dig a vertical grave for Mirundi, in an effort to fulfill the WILL made in an interview with Kasuku.
In that interview, he stated that he would be buried vertically to safe guard his property and look after his home.
