Bobi Wine-Let Hon.Mathius Mpuuga apologise and return the money

The leader and president of the opposition political party the National Unity Platform, Hon.Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu a.k.a Bobi Wine, has once again advised his deputy president for Buganda Region Hon.Mathius Mpuuga who is currently on suspension to take back the money and apologize to Ugandans.

According to Bobi Wine, it is an immoral act for leaders to decide to share the national cake among themselves instead of serving the people.

“If Hon. Mathius Mpuuga knew that what he did was right . Why then does he fear the members of parliament to hold a debate on the service award ? If the parliament had budgeted for the money ,he should be free and let the procedures to take course in parliament.

To add to that, usually many cases take long to be acted upon while in this matter , everything was done swiftly and a judgement was passed in his favor. Something we don’t support as a party.” Bobi Wine claimed.

It should be remembered that the National Unity Platform leadership fellout with Hon. Mathius Mpuuga on matters of receiving a service award from the central government without a clear stated reason.

Something which has led to a power struggle within the party and friends of Hon.Mathius Mpuuga especially those from the Democratic Party block.

However, Hon.Mathius Mpuuga has denied all the allegations labelled against him and has maintained that the money from the service award was legal and deserved it for his good work.

“People have jelousy over me , and that is a political witchunt because I have been privileged to serve in many good positions , including serving my King.” Hon. Mpuuga stated.
