Zari Hassan, renowned Uganda socialite, has at last apologized to her husband, Shakib Lutaaya, admitting that her recent social media outbursts were a result of frustration.
Speaking to the media, Zari explained that she was in Kampala to reunite with her husband and acknowledged that her actions were misguided.
“Things happen… God created us to make mistakes… We make mistakes… But after you reflect and realize you went overboard,” Zari said, before adding, “I’m a stubborn woman. I’m an independent woman… I’m Zari the BossLady… But, in all honesty, I made a mistake… I had my frustrations.”
Zari admitted that she took to social media to vent due to a build-up of frustrations, admitting that she chose the “wrong platform” to express her feelings. She reiterated that her actions were driven by her emotional state at the time.
Back in August, Zari had taken to social media to remind her husband, Shakib Lutaaya, of his relatively minor role in her life, urging him to be cautious in their relationship. Her frustration was sparked when Shakib expressed displeasure over her hosting Diamond Platnumz, the father of her child. Diamond had traveled to South Africa to attend the birthday celebration of Tifah, the daughter he shares with Zari.
Zari was taken aback by Shakib’s reaction, noting that she was not involved in arranging Diamond’s visit to South Africa. She hinted that Diamond might have coordinated with some individuals she lives with to gain access to her home. According to Zari, Shakib overreacted upon seeing Diamond at the party, questioning her whereabouts and suggesting that she still had feelings for Diamond.
Zari also disclosed that Diamond, with whom she shares two children, continues to provide financial support for their kids. She questioned Shakib’s contributions to their relationship, questioning why she constantly has to prove herself to him.
