Jackson Nkuke Mutima, a talent manager and event organizer, has revealed that managers who seek to share the limelight with their artists are likely to have a short stint in the music industry.
He advises managers to give their artists freedom and space, as the artist is the celebrity and not the manager.
He also suggests that managers should study and understand what their artists want to strengthen their bond and working relationship.
This comes after several artists have had misunderstandings with their managers, including fighting for fame and limelight.
Mutima is one of the long serving talent manager’s and has worked with singer Jose Chameleone for more than 15 years now.
His expertise in the music industry is one to be desired since he is flexible in what he does and calculates his game pretty well.
Mutima tipped fellow manager’s to know their limits while dealing with musicians noting that to stay long in the industry one doesn’t need to compete with their boss.
