Mesach Semakula reveals family disownment after pursuing music career

Former Golden Production singer Mesach Semakula revealed that his family disowned him when he chose to pursue a music career.

He explained that his parents did not agree with his decision and disowned him for four years, but when he became successful, they changed their minds.

Semakula also shared that during that period, he had to sleep anywhere he could find.

“My family disowned me when I took the decision to pursue music as my career. I was disowned for over four years. I went on to sleep anywhere I could find because by then, pursuing music was a wrong decision. But now, no one can come out and claim that I made a wrong decision”, he said in an interview with BBS Telefayina.

Despite the initial rejection, Semakula has become a successful artist and a role model to many young generations.
