Gloria Bugie confirms being the one in viral nude video

Gloria Bugie, legally known as Gloria Busingye, broke down as she addressed reporters regarding a deeply distressing incident that has affected her life and music career.

The singer revealed that a compromising video of her, recorded in May last year, had been maliciously shared by an individual who had been blackmailing her for over a year.

“I want to confirm that I am the person in the video, but I was not the one who released it,” Bugie stated, her emotions evident as she recounted her ordeal. “This individual has been blackmailing me for more than a year.”

In March of this year, Gloria Bugie took legal action against the unnamed perpetrator, which prompted him to flee the country.

“I believe he decided to release that video now after noticing my recent success. He is attempting to sabotage my career,” she explained.

Since the video’s release, Bugie has struggled with severe mental health issues. “I have been trying to ignore the noise and concentrate on more significant matters, which is why I have been somewhat silent,” she admitted.

“I never understood the importance of mental health until now. I have never experienced depression before, and it pains me to think of all the women who have faced similar situations. That is why I am joining organizations that support these women, so we can work toward a society free from blackmail.”

Bugie also addressed a separate controversy involving music promoter Abitex, who lodged a police complaint against her for “promoting pornography.”

She expressed her dismay, saying, “No woman in her right mind would intentionally share her nakedness with the world. I hope Abitex has sisters or daughters himself and can empathize with what I am going through.”

Bugie’s heartfelt plea underscores the challenges many women face in the entertainment industry and highlights the need for compassion and understanding in the wake of such traumatic experiences.
