Nash Wonder’s journey: It took me six years to establish my name

Renowned music producer Nash Wonder, legally known as Enock Kubeerwa, has revealed that it took him six years to make a breakthrough as a popular producer in the entertainment industry.

Despite facing criticism from his colleagues, Wonder’s persistence and self-motivation led to success after he worked on Roden Y Kabako’s “Mbalaba Bulabi” song in 2012, which opened doors for him to work with other local artists such as Eddy Kenzo, Anita Da Diva, and Pato Ranking.

In 2012, he still worked with Sheebah Karungi recording her hit single “Ice Cream” and Kalifah AgaNaga’s “Ndabilawa” which also became a monster hit on the local entertainment scene.

Going by his career path story, Wonder advises aspiring music producers to keep doing the right thing and not lose hope, as their moment to shine is coming.

He is the brains behind hit songs such as; “Oyitangayo” by Kalifah AgaNaga, “Dance Well” by DJ Shiru and Pato Ranking, “Zero Distance” by Anita Da Diva, “Bailamosi” by Sheebah, and “Helena” by David Lutalo and Radio & Weasel, among many other big jams that many grooved to during 2012 to 2015. 

Nash Wonder owns two recording studios, one based in Luwafu, Makindye while the other studio is in Kira both close to the center city center Kampala. 

Sharing his relationship status, Nash Wonder disclosed that he is engaged and has a child with his lover Sumi Crazy who relocated to Canada about a year ago. He noted that though they are living apart with his baby mama, they are co-parenting pretty well.

He adds that recording commercial advertisements is more rewarding than merely doing music.
