Bruno K praises Eddy Kenzo for establishing regional arts offices and audio studios

Bruno K, legally known as Bruno Kiggundu, has praised the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) President Eddy Kenzo for establishing over 60 regional arts offices with fully furnished audio recording studios.

His praise came in hot on the heels after singer Nina Roz called out fellow artists to demand for the implementation of copyright law to ensure artists are paid for their content rather than being given handouts by the government. 

In the same spirit, singer Cindy Sanyu, the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) president pleaded with authorities to carry out investigations into the Shs13 billion allocated for artists which was sent to the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF).

Cindy cited that the funds were directed to the artists creative sector but majority of them didn’t receive a token of the cash which she termed as unfair for the rest of the artists who didn’t manage to get a share. 

Her call to be probe the UNMF has not yet been met by the authorities as we are not certain when the move will commence.

Nina Roz, a former head of the discplinary committee at the UNMF and Ziza Bafana also denied having received any money from the federation yet Eddy Kenzo affairms that they got the money and appended their signatures upon receiving the money. 

For now, we wait to witness how all this mess will pan out shortly.
