National Unity Platform (NUP), the Ugandan leading opposition political party has distanced itself from the allegations made by the president of the republic of Uganda Rt. Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni over cheating allegations in the 2021 general elections.
According to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the National Unity Platform (NUP) used various loopholes in the past general elections to get over 1 million votes.

He also noted that there is complete evidence and he can challenge anyone in courts of law if the National Unity Platform dares to sue him.
” I have now got all the evidence that in the last election, the National Unity Platform cheated by one million votes. I have facts.

It should be noted that the incumbent president Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni managed to win the presidential elections despite allegations from different political players who cited fraud.
Robert Kyagulanyi a.k.a Bobi Wine was his runners up and so far his main challenger managed to become second despite getting massive support in the central region.
Advertisement. Scroll to continue reading. However, the National Unity Platform Secretary General David Louis Rubongoya has laughed off the allegations made by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
“It is unbelievable that Gen. Museveni can accuse the National Unity Platform of cheating in the past general elections. We endured many problems mistreatment and injustice from every angle, especially from the security forces. However, we remain strong and committed to our goal”, the secretary general claimed.
