National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine is gutted by the untimely passing of his head of security identified as Okwai James Wasoti a.k.a Kabogo.
The late Kabogo worked with Bobi Wine’s security team since 2017 during his Kyadondo Parliamentary campaign until the elections were done.
When Bobi Wine started the political pressure group ”People Power” that transitioned to NUP, the late Kabogo was commissioned as the head of the gate security, a duty he well executed until Wednesday 5th June 2024.
“With great sadness, I have learnt of the untimely passing of our comrade Okwai James Wasoti aka Kabogo who has worked with our security team since the Kyadondo Parliamentary campaign in 2017. When we started the People Power Movement and eventually NUP, he took over as head of the gate security, a duty he held until yesterday. It is a very, very painful day at the National Unity Platform. May his soul rest in peace”, Bobi Wine wrote on his Twitter Account

The cause of the demise of Kabogo has not yet been established as at the moment the team at the National Unity Platform is waiting on the postmortem that would be availed by the doctors after a thorough examination.
When everything is set, the burial arrangements will also be shared later with the public. May His Soul Rest In Peace!
