Ugandan singer Martin Nkoyoyo, also known as Yoyo, has criticized the current state of the country’s music industry.
He claimed that the lyrics of today’s songs lack coordination and that artists no longer sing with passion as back in the day.
Yoyo was a popular vocalist in the past but fell out of the spotlight after a partnerty controversy.
He has since ventured into different projects which have consumed most of his time.
The “Telephone” singer shared his thoughts during an interview he had on Sanyuka TV a few days ago.
He also shared about how he started his music career, then joined the Obsessions with manager Ronnie as their boss.
When time went by, he took a bold step and became a solo artist.
During his tenure as a solo musician things moved on well for some good time and enjoyed the space and fame but it was short-lived.
He apparently believes that music industry is no longer as vibrant as it used to be back then despite the increasing number of stars right now.
Yoyo is in one way or the other correct but with due respect, he was a man of many talents because he would do several things at ago.
