Gospel singer George Lubega Timothy a.k.a Exodus is geared up to start a campaign called “Toli Wekka, Break The Stigma” to fight drug abuse and create mental health awareness across the country.
While speaking to the press during the launch, Exodus disclosed that was inspired to do so after experiencing mental health issues himself about seven years back and when he opened up about the struggles he went through two months ago, he received overwhelming comments from the public applauding him for speaking up.
Exodus known for his famous hit “Ganja Man” believes that mental health issue is a global pandemic that needs to be taken seriously by the government, especially for those in the creative arts who often fear being judged by the media and other critics.
His campaign aims to find solutions to help those affected and what to do for them after recovering from the challenge.

“I’m on a campaign to create awareness so the public can get to learn what mental health is or issues that deal and concern with thoughts. When I went through this challenge about 7 years ago and narrated my story two months back, we got about 5000 comments from different individuals thanking us for opening up about the dangers of mental health”, Exodus stated.
He further added, “That implied to me that so many people are going through the same challenge but fear to open up based on how the public will judge them especially those in the creative arts. The mental health issue is a global pandemic that we have not embraced yet”.
Exodus is one of the celebrated gospel artists who has had ups and downs on his salvation journey to the extent that he was judged following several misunderstandings he had with his wife, family, and close friends.
However, we are glad is back on the right track and everything seems to be going on smoothly on his side as he looks forward to helping those who are struggling and facing hard times.
