Netizens at Skyz Hotel Naguru were left devastated when a 35-year-old Indian national identified as Shukla Chiragkumar committed suicide when he jumped to death from the fourth floor of the hotel on Monday 3rd June.

The reason as to why he committed suicide has not yet been established and police are still carrying out investigations into the matter to find the exact cause.

Reports reveal that the Indian national did not die instantly on jumping from the Skyz Hotel’s fourth floor as he broke his arm and sustained severe inner injuries.

Shukla Chiragkumar is reported to have breathed his last when he was rushed to UMC Bukoto to get treatment but on arrival, he was no more.

“At approximately 12:30 am, it is alleged that the deceased fell from the fourth floor of the building in front of the hotel entrance, breaking his arm. He was promptly removed by hotel staff and rushed to UMC Bukoto, where he was pronounced dead,” Kampala Metropolitan deputy police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire said.

Based on the details shared, it is reported that Shukla Chiragkumar had earlier checked into the hotel in room 1402 with an unidentified woman with whom he spent a night.
According to the staff at the hotel, the Indian man was a first-time visitor at the hotel and had no details about his whereabouts. The deceased’s body has since been taken to Mulago City Mortuary for postmortem as the probe into the death continues.

The incident comes three days after John Babirukamu, a prominent digital marketer jumped to death from his apartment in Kamwokya, Kampala on Friday.
