After weeks of silence, the embattled commissioner of Parliament and representative of Nyendo Mukungwe, Honorable Mathius Mpuuga has finally opened up about the ongoing events surrounding his political career.
During the interview on local television, Honorable Mathius Mpuuga claimed that the opposition is not being led and it appears to be busy with other things which was so unfortunate.
He further noted that people want to be worshipped and that kills the zeal of the people who would have wished to work with the opposition.
On matters about Masaka, the commissioner of parliament stated that he understands Masaka more than the visitors probably referring to his party National Unity Platform which held a mobilisation drive in the area.
Although huge numbers turned up for the rally, Honorable Mathius Mpuuga referred to the event as a mission aimed to demobilize Masaka and warned that the party would pay for it.
” For the good that you do, some people feel that that good is not good for them. It does not surprise me that the people elected to tarnish my character are those I have done good for,” Honorable Mathius Mpuuga said.
It should be remembered that the embattled commissioner of Parliament and a representative of Nyendo Mukungwe, fell out with his bosses from Kavule after alleged misconduct and abuse of office due to corruption charges during his tenure as the Leader of the Opposition in parliament.
Since then the two parties have always been at loggerheads trading blame on either side.
However, he also called upon the president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to lead and give the country a democratic order.
Honorable Mathius Mpuuga is the former leader of the opposition who served under the National Unity Platform in parliament before being replaced by Honorable Joel Ssenyonyi.
