Newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abbas Byakagaba has made some fresh reshuffles in the Police force that have seen senior spokesperson Senior Commissioner of Police, SCP Fred Enanga drop.
SCP Fred Enanga has been replaced by Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Rusoke Kituuma as the new force’s spokesperson and he is set to commence his duties with immediate effect this coming week.
Fred Enanga has been appointed as Deputy Director in charge of Interpol and internal relations a new role that we hope he will as well work in the interest of his bosses.
Confirming the fresh changes in the Police Force, Mr. Enanga took to his X (formerly Twitter) to share the announcement with his followers.

The changes have come up on the heels after President Museveni met with the new IGP a few days ago and shared ideas about certain strategies for improving the force which we hope have kicked off as of now.
We are yet to learn of other changes if there any to be made in the meantime. Mr. Fred Enanga had occupied the role of the Police spokesperson for a period of about five ever since he replaced Emilian Kayima in the reign of former IGP Martin Okoth Ochola.
Without a doubt, Fred Enanga served diligently and he has been a darling to the journalists based on his charisma of how he used to trade jokes with people and his humor about football since he is a staunch Arsenal and Uganda Cranes fan.
He will be missed by many in that role but he continues to serve the way he knows best. Good luck in his new role!
