Ugandan opposition leaders led by the president of the National Unity Platform Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu a.k.a Bobi Wine have come out to thank Kenyans most especially Gen Z for expressing their dissatisfaction about the unpopular Financial Bill 2024.

According to Bobi Wine, the Kenyans are only fighting for their rights and the leaders must also listen to what they are telling them.

” Power to you young people of Kenya. You are speaking up and your voices are being heard far beyond the Kenyan borders. We hope your leaders too are listening! We continue to stand in solidarity with you,” Bobi Wine said on his social media handles.

He further expressed concern about the ongoing illegal abductions of activists by state operatives and condemned such actions of impunity. He called out the government to stop immediately and release the people without any charges imposed on them.

” Very concerned about reports of ongoing abductions of young activists in Kenya. We in Uganda understand the pain of illegal arrests, abductions, and enforced disappearances which are a common occurrence in our country. I join all persons of good conscience in condemning these actions and call upon the Kenyan authorities to urgently release all those illegally detained,” Bobi Wine

To add to that, the former president of Forum for Democratic Change Rtd Dr. Kizza Besigye also thanked Gen Z for being firm and fighting for their rights.

” I am in Nairobi, my heart goes out to all of the Kenyans who have lost their lives and those injured as they protest taxes imposed on them. I am proud of all, especially, the young Gen Z, protesters who are violently facing guns and other lethal weapons demanding justice! Freedom and Justice come at a price that we all have to pay sooner or later,” Rtd Dr. Besigye.
