Bataka (Buganda clan heads) fly to Namibia to check on Kabaka

For a long time, the Buganda kingdom clan heads (Bataka) have been formally requesting an opportunity to visit their boss Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi who is in Namibia receiving special treatment. Their wish is to clarify the health status of the king after a long period of undisclosed illness.

The Bataka being among the strong pillars that make up Buganda kingdom, had earlier on informed the president H.E.Yoweri Kaguta Museveni about their intentions and requested for some financial support to go and visit the king.

It is on record that for a long time, the president has been on good terms with the Bataka and even pledged to support them with 200 million shillings to start a savings sacco and also make other income-generating projects.

The health status of the king has been a big question to everyone including the Bataka and the subjects who have been denied access to see or have any information regarding his health.

This caused a lot of unnecessary rumors and worry all over the kingdom regarding his health status. The Kabaka being among the most loved people in the country, his absence from most of the kingdom events has sparked total distress and mistrust in the Katiikiro Charles Peter Mayiiga since he is in charge of kingdom affairs.
