Ali Campbell and a team of 20 members have already set foot into the pearl of Africa for their maiden concert tomorrow. The former lead singer of the legendary band UB40 is slated to perform at Kololo airstrip.
The show has been organized by Naguru-based media outlet NBS TV and partners Talent Africa. The show will be curtain raised by some of Uganda’s best talents in the entertainment industry including Weasel Manizo, Maddox, Bebe Cool, Rema Namakula, Navio, and Vinka.
The show promises to be one of the biggest events that Ugandans will enjoy this year since Ali Campbell’s performances come once in a while. The last time he was in Kampala, Uganda was in 2007 when they had a show at Lugogo Cricket Oval that sold out to the maximum and whoever attended still has fresh memories of the event.
Ali Campbell is a multi-talented performer with great skill in art and music and has several songs. He has toured for 30 years with the original lineup of the band. It is said that in 2008, Campbell parted ways with UB40 due to a fallout with the band’s management, alongside Mickey Virtue (keyboard), and formed a new band.

In 2014 August, Campbell confirmed how he had reunited with the UB40 bandmate Astro after a meeting who had also quit the band due to management disputes and the musical direction of the band.
The tickets for the show are sold at Sheraton Hotel Kampala, Talent Africa group offices, Next Media Park, and on the MTN Momo App.
The bronze ticket costs 100k, silver 200k, gold 5million for 8 people, and platinum 9million for 9 people accordingly.
